- Medi-Camouflage Course (2 days)
The Essential Course is one of the most popular courses offered at Haute Makeup®. Designed for make-up artists, hairstylists, estheticians, beauticians, and medical spa technicians who have little to no experience in permanent makeup, this comprehensive micropigmentation course is 6 days in duration. This course fully prepares the student in becoming a semipermanent makeup technician.
We introduce the topics of dermatology, color theory, and other essentials of makeup to prepare the student. Students will learn the regulations for hygiene, as well as proper handling of the device with the hands-on practical application. With a focus on beauty applications, this course is directed in improving the student’s ability in visual makeup artistry and skin pigmentation.
The Haute Makeup Bespoke Method® focuses on naturally beautiful semipermanent makeup. The micropigmentation training in the Essential Course centers on cosmetic permanent makeup services, including semipermanent eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips.
Students will learn the eyebrow hair stroke and gradient shading techniques to create feathery brow hairlines, the eyeliner line and blended shading, lip contours and gradient shading, and the application of semipermanent beauty marks.
Proper sterilization techniques and other hygienic practices are taught according to North American public health board laws
The Intensive Course is for students who are already established permanent makeup artists looking to learn the Haute Makeup Bespoke Method® to upgrade their repertoires. This course is only open to technicians with proof of over 3 years of active experience in permanent cosmetics. This concentrated course puts great importance on makeup application and micropigmentation techniques, focusing on training the Haute Makeup Bespoke Method® for beautifully natural semipermanent makeup results. Intensive courses should be taken by students who are already well-versed in skin dermatology, hygienic practices and sterilization, and the basics of hands-on permanent makeup application. This course is suited for students who are able to absorb large amounts of information in a short period of time and who can handle learning under pressure. This course is not recommended for the beginning permanent makeup artist. Students will learn the eyebrow hair stroke and gradient shading techniques to create feathery brow hair lines, the eyeliner line and blended shading, lip contours and gradient shading, and the application of semipermanent beauty marks. Proper sterilization techniques and other hygienic practices are taught according to North American public health board laws.
The Elite Course covers additional micropigmentation skills for Hauticians® who have received their Haute Makeup® certification through either the Essential or Intensive course. In this expert course, there is a focus on calibrating a student’s technique. By searching for bad habits and or ineffective micropigmentation problem areas, students are able to overcome hurdles in their services and improve all aspects of their semipermanent makeup skills. Our 3-day seminar centers on correcting bad permanent makeup. The Hautician® will learn how to neutralize warm or cool permanent makeup residue left over on the skin, cover it with the appropriate neutralizing or camouflaging color, and then re-create the permanent eyebrow, eyeliner, or the lips so that the shape and color are attractive and reflects the client’s custom style. There will be additional lessons on Cupid’s Bow Brightening and Wrinkle Softening. The Elite training is also a way for Hauticians® to gain insight into new renovations in Haute Makeup® techniques, devices, and colors. Furthermore, the Elite Course allows for Hauticians® to network with one another and further their marketing presence through short workshops on business management and localized marketing. Haute Makeup® is proud of constantly innovating and working with the ever changing micropigmentation market.
The Medi-Camouflage Course covers the fundamentals of scar camouflage micropigmentation. Only fully-trained Advanced Contourists® with at least 2 years of active permanent makeup experience are eligible for this course. Students will learn how to camouflage scars from accidents and surgical operations by adapting it to natural skin color through our color blending technique, how to recreate hairs in the scalp, how to restore and brighten the areolas after breast-related surgeries, and how to fix skin pigmentation disorders such as vitiligo and hypopigmentation. Through our wide experience in working with local doctors and plastic surgeons, we are highly qualified in advising students on which scars can be micropigmented, as well as helping students understand the texture of scarred skin and how to gently color the areas so as to not further damage sensitive tissues. Other topics also include correcting “skin colors” from other permanent makeup pigments, which do not match the client’s natural skin color. As the course is short, all students taking the Medi-Camouflage course must be extremely focused to the task at hand. Furthermore, our seminar on identifying the stages of wound healing, hygienic practices, and starting collaborative marketing with doctors prepares our semipermanent makeup artist for their new business. Please note that a Medi-Camouflage Course Certification does not equal a Medical Doctorate Degree.
An Haute Makeup® Hautician® certificate does not equal a business license; research the necessary rules and regulations in your county/city/country. Be advised that you must take a separate bloodborne pathogen exam in performed by your local health jurisdictions. Course fees do not include devices. Additional days may be purchased at the discretion of the student.
